RIAM Exams

Setting goals can be a powerful way to inspire focus, growth and confidence in our students. That’s why at Centre Stage, we offer Royal Irish Academy of Music exams in Classical Singing, Musical Theatre & Popular Singing, Piano and Drama & Communications.

Achieving these milestones gives students a real sense of accomplishment and pride, while encouraging a deeper connection to their voice, instrument or performance skills. Each exam is not just a test—it’s a celebration of progress, creativity and the joy of learning.

Junior Cert Music Support

We offer professional support to students taking their Practical exams, we don’t teach the full course, but we prepare a programme specifically for their Practical exam.

At Centre Stage, we support Junior Cycle students through every element of the exam: performance, composition, and listening. We break down the curriculum into clear, achievable goals, helping young musicians build confidence and skills in a fun, encouraging environment.

Our approach celebrates progress and creativity, making the Junior Cycle a rewarding milestone rather than a daunting challenge. With our guidance, students develop a lasting love for music while achieving results they can be proud of.

Leaving Cert Music Support

We offer professional support to students taking their Practical exams, we don’t teach the full course, but we prepare a programme specifically for their Practical exam.

At Centre Stage, we offer expert support for Leaving Cert students across performance, composition, and the listening paper, including the prescribed works and Irish music section. Our structured approach helps students play to their strengths, whether they choose performance or composition as their elective.

We go beyond exam preparation, nurturing genuine musical passion and resilience. Our students leave us with strong grades, lasting confidence, and the skills to pursue their creative ambitions with pride.

Group Singing Lessons – Ballina (ages: 6–8 yo)

Times : Saturdays from 12pm to 1pm

Group Singing Lessons – Ballina (ages: 9–11 yo)

Times : Mondays and Fridays 6pm to 7pm

Group Singing Lessons – Ballina (12+)

Times : Mon 5-6pm & Fri 4.30-5.30pm

Solo Singing Lessons – Ballina (ages: 9–18 yo)

Stage School Teens

Times : Castlebar on Tuesdays in Linenhall, Ballina on Wednesdays in Ballina Ats Centre and Belmullet on Thursdays in Aras Inis Gluaire.

Stage School Seniors (10-12 yo)

Watching her confidence grow over the years has been incredible. She absolutely loves stage school, and I love that the classes include singing, dancing, and acting all in one.
